Poems

~Thinking~
The morning blushes with pink surprise,
To a world with hollow eyes.
Oh nation of death can't you see the dread?
Children dying, whole countries dead.
Invite the peace of our supreme God,
Stop the madness and violence abroad.
Turn back to prayer reject the hate,
Save your souls, clean your slate.
The King will come, He'll reappear,
Mercy of Christ you need have near.
Bow down and pray like never before,
Hate, prejudice, greed and war,
Together stand and close that door.

~One More Day~
I sit here alone and wander my thoughts,
Too many to count, can't shut them off.
The best ones I save and see in my dreams,
The worst ones scream unraveling my seams.
The cancer controls my happy--my sad,
In one living moment gone Cybil mad.
The sky, will it reach down for me tonight?
Or will I be saved for one more days plight?
O, God I'm so sorry for not living right,
But thank you for giving me one more days light.

~Flakes~
We're all a bunch of snowflakes
no two are the same.
Thank God for that blessing
or I think we'd go insane.
Together we fall
from God's given grace
helping each other not land on our face.
Slipping and sliding
it's what we all do
searching for someone who's slipping too.
With bumps and bruises
it's still nice to know
there's always a hand in the flakes of the snow.

     ~Good Morning~
Burning candles light the way,
Prayer and mantra's start my day.
God and angels keep me on track,
Spirit and nature give what I lack.
Family and friends love to the core,
My wings are lifted, from cancer I soar.

                ~Normal~
Back to normal will never be,
My search I have found a kindlier me.
Forgiveness and love now lead the way,
Opened my eyes the price I must pay.
Can never go back and that's alright,
Darkness is gone gave way to the light.
Thanks to God for giving His grace,
The past is a dream I no longer chase.
New life, new me, my soul is free.

~October~
October wind turning the leaves,
Floating them softly into the breeze.
Stirring and whirling they fall to the ground,
The whisper of autumn, creatures abound.
Harvest moon cascading the sky,
Witchy woman see how she fly's.
Halloween pumpkins and candy galore,
Soon will be winter and autumn no more.

~Cheer~
Colon Cancer can really stink.
We're not the majority wearing pink.
No BLUE is the color we wear proud,
We're an alliance and shout it loud.
